  3. Welcome to the Giga Games 5 CDROM!  This CDROM disc contains over 2600
  4. games, for DOS, Windows 3.1, and OS/2.  The games are divided into 50
  5. categories so you can find what you want faster and easier.

  17. utils\w16view.exe   File Browser for Windows 3.1.

  32. Quick Start Instructions:
  33.  
  34.   Windows 3.1/NT:
  35.     Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run.  At the
  36.     Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
  37.     This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
  38.  
  39.   MSDOS Quick Start:
  40.     Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
  41.     Example:
  42.           C:\> D:
  43.           D:\> view
  44.  
  45.   Windows 95:
  46.     Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive.  This will automatically
  47.     start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
  48.     Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
  49.     by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run".  At the Run
  50.     box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.

  52. Using the 00_INDEX.HTM:
  53.  
  54. We have included 00_index.htm files so the user may use a Web browser
  55. to view our disc.
  56.  
  57. In order to view this disc using these 00_index.htm files, point your
  58. Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.
  59.  
  60. For example, in Netscape/Mosaic:
  61.  
  62.         1) Choose File/Open File (or File/Open Local File with Mosaic)
  63.         2) Choose your CDROM Drive under "Drives"
  64.         3) Select the 00_index.htm file
  65.         4) Click on OK
  66.  
  67. The 00_index.htm files have been tested under Netscape 1.1 (Windows,
  68. Macintosh, and FreeBSD), Netscape 1.22 (Windows), Netscape 2.0b2,
  69. Mosaic 2.00 (Final Beta), and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  75. To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
  76. for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM.  These programs
  77. allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
  78. CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want
  79. onto your hard disk.

  83. Shareware

  85. This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can
  86. be considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are
  87. expected to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the
